When the sun is finaly lighting up the scottish landscape, we feel as if we were suddenly transported in a totally different country.

Crisp and delightful!

I know and love this place. And I also tried some foreground-background compisitions there with the rocks and the lonely tree on the small island. But I think they simply don't work. Each shot I see (mine and from other photographers) has too much optical weight on the right side. There's nothing in the left half of the picture to embalance the impact of the rock and the tree on the right half. Maybe stepping a bit further to the right would help, but this inquired stepping in the water or losing this wide angle effect. Next time I'm there, I'll try to go into the water - we'll see if I than be happier with this composition. By the way: Your portfolio is stunning.
