caused the terrible tornadoes.

amazing photo. The wide color pallet and dynamics of this photo make it quite an amazing photo. Perfect amount of dark sihloette foreground and sky above the cloud.

I think they call those thunderclouds. This one is just amazing...it looks like the mother of all clouds. Wow!

Very striking image! You did an excellent job all the way around with this; dof, exposure, framing, focus, beautiful colors. It sure doesn't look ominous enough here to have spawned the tornadoes, but I know how quickly things change in the midwest.

OH MY! Susan where have you been hiding this jewel? This is an awesome photograph and you are getting the attention that is much deserved of it. "Wow" is not enough so I'll give you a WOWZERS on it!!!

Thank you all. The sun was setting and shining on only the tops which caused the colors at the bottom. We often get these great storm clouds here in Kansas. My brother calls them "Mushroom Clouds of Death."

The best thing to me is a CB just at sunset were the top is still getting light and the bottom is the light from the setting sun very nice work Susan

i love clouds and this is such a good shot. i would have loved to see these in person. i like how the trees are silhouettes....it emphasizes the clouds.
