arash khoshghadam 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Thank you for your presence here and your nice comments. Thank you Lesa for your concise critique. Your choice of word 'verbose' made me ashamed of myself for writing lengthy comments. My only aim is to transfer my perspective to the guys here in PN and to urge artistic post-intellectualization for many to understand their image convey more than they initially intellectualized if any and eventually for me to be of a service, but apparently I am on a wrong track. msoskil 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Very nice picture here. Don't worry about semantics. I think the previous poster simply meant that he/she couldn't find the words to convey what he/she wanted to say as well as you could (I know that's not the definition of "verbose", but I believe that was the intent - You're the linguist, though.) Your intentions seem fine, and that's the important thing. Keep posting as you have. It's people like you that help make the rest of us better. Again, kudos on a fine capture. Link to comment
arash khoshghadam 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Thanks for your soothing words, and it's true people like you make this environment exquisitely cultural. As a linguist I am, I understood what her intent was, as she has used the word in a wishing sentence which shows her good-will, and it's apparent she meant no sarcasm. I was just expressing a light-hearted comment about how oversensitive linguists can get sometimes-joke. I and Lisa are friends and I never get hurt by friends. Thanks for your concern anyway. It's nice to make friends who are so caring. Link to comment
