LenMarriott 9 Posted March 6, 2007 For some reason kids love the optional ultraviolet(?) lighting some bowling alleys provide. Unfortunately it's so dim that an exposure sometimes runs to many seconds, thus the blurred people. Your thoughts\comments will be gratefully received. Best, LM. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 12, 2007 Hi Len, the blue surrounding is very well exposed and composed. It gives the place a very unusual look and mood. I wish at least some of the children were less blured, but somehow all looks very unusual. If the letters of bowling were not on the wall....I'm not sure I like the table and chair on the right as it disturbs the DOF, but there are ellements that we can not do anything about. In any event, it attracted my interest and I have observed it more than usual.;-)) Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted March 12, 2007 Pnina, Your comments are most welcome. For this new 'Point-and-shoot' Canon A540 set on Auto everything I was most impressed. When I spotted the kids all lined up I decided to try an exposure. As it turned out the time was in excess of 1 second and pre-schoolers don't stand still that long..........ever! I wasn't that crazy about the table & chair on the right myself but left it in in my haste to get this to screen (haven't been too productive lately:-) How does my square crop STRIKE you? (pun intended) :-) It's the best I can do with this one, post exposure. Best, LM. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 13, 2007 Len, it makes a different image good in itself, but I like the original wider sight, I think it is worth another try in this place, now that you know what to avoide.... and try to find the right angle. what do you say? Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Hi, Len! I like the square crop...the table was a bit distracting. I also actually like the blur of the children...children are a blur in real life, flitting from one place to the next. Plus, the blur here makes them look a bit ghost-like...reminding us that they aren't this little for long...enjoy their energy while you can. :) Leslie Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted March 23, 2007 Leslie, Your take on this shot is better than the shot itself. Thanks for the additional points to ponder. Best, LM. Link to comment
