dannym 0 Posted March 2, 2007 This is an amazingly beautiful composition. I love cemeteries, and the way you've captured the essence of "spookiness" is exceptional. The tones, lighting and detail work perfectly. Link to comment
alexb_paris 0 Posted March 3, 2007 very nice! you've created a fantastic atmophere here. one detail though the grave in the foreground looks a little too light compared to the rest.Anyhow, it doesn't matter that much, great work! Link to comment
sawicki 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Almost everything is perfect in this shot. Birds make a great frame, one of them sitting there... Just the tree touches the middle headstone. But accept that - amazing visual efect. Great. Link to comment
bw1664881174 0 Posted March 3, 2007 How many photos did you use? One for the crows? One for the tree? One for grave stone? Interested. Very good. Link to comment
velter 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Thanks everybody. Alex is very right. I did change it a bit: the tree is now lighter and the tombstone is a bit darker. It looks better indeed. It's guys like you who make this website so wonderful! Thank you !!! Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Amazing the way the light reflecting off the foreground stone illuminates the bird perched upon it. Really nicely seen & captured :) Link to comment

jefvandenhoute 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Strong B/W image trough its dark atmosphere and strong light contrast Link to comment
tim_ziegler 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Great shot Peter. I love the composition. The lighting is spot-on, with a little edge light on the tombstone and the tree silhouetted. Great background with the clouds but the birds really make it a 7/7! Tim Link to comment
shanm 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Very illustrative shot! The feeling of this shot is fantastic. The slight angle makes it even more creepy. Link to comment
azazelo 0 Posted March 9, 2007 i like the composition, speccilay the position of tree and smaller kross. i guess you purposly didn't wont of image to seam like real, that's why is the light on the biger kross as it is. am i write? Link to comment
velter 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Hi Spomenka, I try to make my compositions as real as possible. All components in the image are real. Even the bent tree does exist and the skew tombstone is also skew in real life . I just assemble them using my imagination. Getting the light right is the most difficult part. I did adjust the light on the big tombstone as Alex Bieth (check out his gallery!!) suggested (see above). This website is so much fun. Thanks everybody! Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted May 20, 2007 Great image with a fantastic atmosphere. Makes me think about the movie "The birds" from Hithcock. Link to comment
