Nice - a different approach to the sunset theme - very well with this vast space, machinery, nature - well done.

Have you tried any composite layering or HDR for ones like this??? This has a killer sky but a little dark in the earth areas. Do you use Nikon Capture?

I've not used that software... I bought Capture to process the NEF files when I first got the D1. You get any rain this week?

Not a drop Dennis, you get any? And God bless the people in Alabama, Mississippi and in the southeastern parts of the US. I had the fun of setting here now casting for some chasers in all that mess. Just makes me wish that we could do something to make our schools safer in severe weather. Ok maybe safe rooms? But the dollar? I guess it is just when people do all we tell them to do, to be safe we will still have lose of life just hard when the life is young?

Were the kids in the large areas or hall ways and rooms? Small rooms such as bathrooms should be used more, imo....

We've only had 1.26" since the first of the year in my gauge.

Well if I have heard right in hall ways and to me the hall way is not the place and as of March 1st, the year 2007 (only 2 months in) has had more tornado fatalities "so far" than 2005, 2004 "total"

Yes it is sometimes hard to get thoughts old ways out you remember when we were kids going to all the windows to open them? Now that was a dumb waste of time

Ken,

Great Japanese sunset picture. (A crane at end of day, in the land of the rising sun) Truly a great picture. Finally I can rate a sunset photo of yours. I appreciate the grand view of the entire sky with the FG filled with the site and equipment. I'm quite sure the sunset zoomed in on would be awesome to, but this tells much more of a story. Remeinds me of why I love Texas. This is the epitome of the 50 mile view. Thanks for sharing.

As for the weather yesterday, we got over an inch of rain last night, winds of about 40mph through Pensacola, and yes, our kids were released from school at about 1 pm. I have friends who know Enterprise, AL where the school was destroyed and the kids were just about to be let out when it hit. There truly is no safe place when it comes barreling through. I just am glad no tornado developed in PCola. And it was only March 1st. A long season to go. I'm sure I will see some shot by you. Be good.
