Palm fringed, Lake Vembanad, India

I took these pictures when I went on a short trip to Kerala (state) in India. Kerala is green! Its amazing to see nature, especially flora, at its best here. Everywhere I saw beautiful, huge lakes and wide canals meandering through the country. With pristine beaches, rich wildlife, palm fringed backwaters and ornate boathouses, and paddy fields in stripes and beds, no wonder its called the god's own country.
