alexandra_blackshear 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Dear Rene, This is a unique and interesting photograph. You are very talented. Although, I still can't quite figure out exactly what you have done to this image/images, the mystery is what makes your photograph so intriguing. I see a mermaid trapped in fishing nets. I see classic nude paintings from the eighteenth century. I see daguerreotypes. However, the border you placed around the photograph instantly reminds me of hallmark pictures of dew on leaves that are extremely colorful or highly digitally manipulated photos, and I instantly discredit your image as just another manipulation. This is not by any means saying that your photograph is bad, I just feel that it would be much more believable without the frame and website underneath. I can see your picture as a poster on some teenage mythology-loving girl's wall. Is that where you're going? With your talent, I believe you can do much better than that. You could be famous! The shadows, the light! You must really be a hard-working professional! It's just gorgeous! Keep up the Good Work Lovely! Sincerely, Alexandra Blackshear Link to comment
billkantor 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Nice! Very creative and well done. Redolent of the "finger gesture " from Da Vinci's "Last Supper". Were you aware of this? Was it intended? Bill Link to comment

elsen 0 Posted March 20, 2007 Great work on shooting. The net, hair and the smoke effects add a mysterious air-dynamics-like waves to the image, creating a sense of motion. Link to comment

don_bryant2 0 Posted April 6, 2010 Ah yes the old nude model with her head tilted back. Pose predictable and trite - lighting and post great! Link to comment
