The Denver Art Museum, sparks a lot of debate on whether the

building competes with the Art is houses, and how appropriate is it

for "signature" architecture, to be applied the same way regardless

of culture and context.

Nice capture John, looks very unique building. I think the brunches on the upper corner is distracting. Here is my suggestion.

i think that i would love the photo if it were not for all the trees, posts, etc., as they detract so much. from a former landscaper who loves architecture and photography...this building would have been better served to be left starkly without the intended enhancement of plantings. back to the axiom of "sometimes less is more". i can only imagine how well this shot would work, minus the unfortunate clutter.

Thank you for your comments

You both seem to be reacting to the clutter,... I have to agree, however, the conditions on this specific side of the building made it difficult to eliminate them from view,(I'd hate to think of using PS to take it all out)...I have another image in my portfolio which is probably more to your liking.

Thanks again for visiting and commenting!

i think you understood my comments, but to be sure...certainly isn't your fault you don't have an unobstructed view of the beautiful building. it amazes me at how we as humans clutter even our most stunning creations.

John i think you misunderstood, the trees are fine. The brunches on the top right corner i think is distracting.

Yes Yianni it was clear with the sample you posted. You focused on the top right hand corner. I think John Galyon would suggest that all the trees including the light posts detract from the facade as well. My point is that it might be a detriment to photoshop all. The upper right hand corner is more manageable.

I will upload some more shots of this interesting building.

I think we are all confused because we are all named John ;-)

Thanks again for all the comments. It's refreshing to get constructive critique as well as ratings.

Giasou!

I agree and wait to see more from this building. I just hope the next post here its not from someone with the name Yiannis or John. It will make this post more complicated. <45 Yiannides enos kokorou gnosi>. Giasou file, tha ta ksanapoume.
