E' veramente bella. Il Lago che si intravede tra la foschia circondato dai monti e' molto scenografico. Mi ricorda un po' certi sfondi nei quadri di Leonardo... Il tutto sarebbe ancora piu' bello se la neve non fosse stata cosi' smossa

Excellent shot. The person in the foreground really makes this one for me - the perspective the silhouette adds is just fantastic. I do wish I could see the entirety of the shadow, as this could add even more depth to the scene, but as is this is just fantastic.

Per Daniele: credo tu abbia posto l'attenzione su un particolare importante. Purtroppo non eravamo i primi ad aver raggiunto quel punto scenografico.

Se sei pratico di quell'area, la zona inquadrata e' il ramo comasco del Lago di Como e la penisola al centro e' l'Isola Comacina. Como e' in fondo al "canyon".

 

To Greg: thanks for the comment, I see what you mean. Methinks that framing the whole shade, the main subject would have been too far and small losing his importance. Anyway you are correct, probably if I had taken this shot earlier in the afternoon, with shorter shades I could have both given importance to the main subject and framed the shade which is an important element of the picture. Thanks again for your illuminating words.

Looks like the Breva is moving into the mountains. You can have the world with Google Earth. Thanks to the Comacini, Lago di Como is mine.

 

Gorgeous mountain lake pictures are easy but people make the difference between gorgeous and sublime. Raphael thought the mountains were beautiful backgrounds and the world is hers. Thank you.
