Dubois, Idaho. The town is virtually a ghost town, except for the

county courthouse (new) and a couple of service stations on Interstate 15.

Another great shot, David, what a light! I like the wide view that matches the lentgh of the building. Great idea. David, it's been good to exchange a few thoughts and images over the last few weeks. My very best to you. Take care, Laurent.

I love it David...as Laurent said, the WA effect with the flare and the small patterned shirt guy works well...I don't know if you would understand the comparison but reminds of something like the modern version of the lonely cowboy going away at the end of the day...

Thank you both. I cannot express my gratitude for both of you helping me so much with my work (or is it play). I feel that both of you have offered opinions and advice that has been very useful to me. So thank you for your comments on this photo and for all of your comments and support.

L.L. When will you be back? I will surely miss seeing your latest efforts.

i really like this one David. do you have more from this town. i can imagine a whole series of images depicting abandonded cities. kind of like the architectural version of the homeless if that makes sense..

Thanks for commenting. I have five or six good (IMHO) images from this lost piece of America. The Christmas tree in "IT'S ALL OVER NOW, BABY BLUE" is from the building that is highlighted on the far lower right in this pic. There will be more. I'm not surprised you like this one, as you have some old goodies in your portfolio. Some people might be a little put off by the lens flare, but obviously it didn't bother me. I do not know the history of this area, since I was merely passing through, but I am still amazed at how almost every single building on main street was abandoned and deteriorating. There must be an interesting story behind this.
