tmjacobs 0 Posted March 3, 2007 comments welcome, stitched together from 6 HDR photos (so 6x3=18 photos total). This is the upper cloister, below this is the totally different href="http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo? photo_id=5657256&size=lg">gothic cloister. Please view the larger version. Link to comment
thatbloke 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Excellent, well exposed and but together, and you are right, it is better viewed in the large version. Roger Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted March 4, 2007 Perhaps that light blue of the sky is what does not convince me totally. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted March 22, 2007 ... you can feel the hot afternoon sun in the shot ... how welcoming the shade of the cloisters must have been. I am always astonished at your skill at putting together these complex images in HDR. These are the finest architectural shots (for my money and my taste) that I've seen on PN. You have my complete admiration. Link to comment
tmjacobs 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Thanks everyone for your comments. Dennis, I have to disappoint you about the hot afternoon sun: this was the end of february and it was a mere 10 degrees (celsius, that is). The best time to visit though, as there were hardly any visitors. Happy as I am with this 'collage', it was only back home, while 'assembling' this when I noticed I failed to capture the upper parts of the cloister arches, which would have improved the composition. sweeney 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Yes this is what HDR should be like. It is so often abused and misused. I am just beginning to experiment with it and it is not so easy to get a good result that doesn't just look downright phony. Very nice work and thanks for the presentation. Link to comment
