C'mon Bill, critique only? Now who do I give the 3/3 to? Had a smile on my face when I first saw the title in the forum and thought male - what? Single male in breeding plumage?! Lovely capture; I like how the eye is emphasized in the reflection. Wish I could figure out how to make a frame like yours; looks nice and gives a finished look without being overwhelming or distracting. Regards, Dieter

"Wish I could figure out how to make a frame like yours; looks nice and gives a finished look without being overwhelming or distracting." Although I have and use PS CS 2, I still retain Elements 2 and use it for the framing, I go to layer styles and choose bevels and inter ridge, then to effects and choose drop shadow f. then save as jpeg. I don't know how this got to be critique only I must have hit the wrong button.

I had the privelage to watch this bird spieces last January in our nighbourhood, extremely rare in Norway. Caracteristic plumage colour with fine feather details. I think the beak with it's light blue colour and black tip is very special. I wonder if the image could have been cropped a little bit?, otherwise an exellent duck image!
