Evening Prayer

Excellent composition and tone,Umair Bhai. Very much interested to know what is written, above & below ,the figure.

walled city residents r gaurdians of tradition. it was a custom 2 write/ engrave/ emboss Quranic verse on the house facade. this four storey building is one such place where u find this tradition on every storey. above: "O Everlasting Allah, i seek Thy forgiveness". below : "O the greatest of all Helpers, i seek Thy help. ease my affliction." an old man sits in the window, praying, facing towards the mosque on the north west. though the Mecca [where muslims turn their faces 4 praying] is to the west.

old Lahore is still mystic...& you are capturing excellent angles...regards

I like this composition very much. The beautifully tiled wall forming a natural sanctum for the Prayer. Good colours & light as well.

you know, I peruse the newly loaded images often, but rarely do they really grab me. this is so striking. the window/building itself is stunning, but your frame/composition, the man, the color is all just beautiful. really nice eye!!!
