cherlyn 1 Posted February 27, 2007 Nature is so amazing. They can paint beutiful & natural scapes for us. This is a natural mountainscape (part of a long stretch of such formation) of the Oases of Chebika.I think there is a abstract quality to it. Some info on Chebika: Chebika belongs to the collection of unlikely desert oases of the mountains north of the great Tunisian chotts. Least famous, Chebika offers perhaps the most effective and dramatic experience among them.Chebika, most of the year just looks like wide barren field. Where the mountains rise, Chebika lies. Most of the year it is so exposed to the sun that it once was known as Qasr el-Shams, Castle of the Sun. Thanks for viewing & feedback. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted February 27, 2007 Not some sand dunes but natural mountain formation. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment
laurentbaig 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Very nice, really stark looking place, and the image has a very abstract feel about it. I'd consider either burning the URC or cropping the light spot out as it's the only distraction in this otherwise wonderful image. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Great point of the view, nice effect of the grain & veins, and lovely warm tones & layers makes unique abstract, stunning execution, dear Cherlyn!!! Best regards Link to comment

alexb_paris 0 Posted February 28, 2007 good one Cherlyn! maybe I would have rotated it to make more of an abstract and lose a little the viewer. But I find it very good as it is (my favorite of your latest submissions)! Link to comment
rivera r 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Wonderful texture and combination of tones, well done, Cherlyn, congrats. Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Yes, a wonderful abstract indeed. If you crop it at the top you avoid the "grounds greeting spot" on the right. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 1, 2007 Very nice formation Cherlyn, you have well composed it, I like the brown color nuances,! Thanks for the information about your trip, a lot of flying! Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 1, 2007 Looks like I cannot afford to be lazy under my friend's sharp eyes :-) I have re-loaded the image with the top right hand corner cloned to remove the slight distraction. Also I have attached a rotated image as Alex suggest & hey, it gives a different feel & I like it a lot. I think it works very well as an abstract. Link to comment
