What a strange attitude of the man toward the woman to me dear Jef :) very intersting capture of their behaviour and tradition! I like the composition very much, but I wish the faces were more clear/bright so I can see their emotions too :)

Artistic composition and beautiful lighting, I love the position and the pose of the man and the woman, and the distinguish areas of cool and warm color tones.

Heel mooie compositie. De houdingen, vooral van de vrouw, zijn ook prachtig. Jammer inderdaad dat de gezichten zo donker zijn. Het lijkt alsof hier behoorlijk wat aan 'gewerkt' is op de computer?

I understand your comment on the faces being soo dark. But they are fully in the shadow. I have tried to lighten them up, but the atmosphere of the image was partly lost (and unnatural).

Moreover it's an older film negative, scanned in with a Nikon film scanner; that also limits the tonal range of the image

Jef, faces are dark yes, pity, but it is an intersting composition that show a different culture. The DOF is good and the diagonal"connect" both of them .
