whinterberger 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Procol Harum ..... ? Lovely shot. Great comp. Wish the dog would look INTO the pic. but maybe the jarring note was intended... Link to comment
danadler 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Nice composition because of the unique shape of the branches, the foggy background........and the dog. Link to comment
tholte 16,677 Posted February 27, 2007 Walter, I should have spelled Poco Harum correctly, you must be a child of the 60's also. Link to comment

younes 0 Posted February 27, 2007 You get the grade just for the title alone! (One of the sweetest songs ever :-D). What is there to say. Perfect mood, superb composition. A classic! Link to comment
sc_jason 0 Posted February 27, 2007 I love the tonality here Tim. Your eye has captured all three components in ideal places, the tree with its swooping branch, the picnic table underneath it, then the dog on the right. It helps that I like Procol Harum and The Big Chill is one of my favorite movies, but a great shot regardless! Thanks for sharing this with the community. 7/6 Link to comment
jefvandenhoute 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Strong light and tone rendering. The contrast between the dark tree and the light gray of the rest of the image makes a strong composition Link to comment
further 0 Posted February 27, 2007 a wonderful tonality you have achieved here Tim... Link to comment

stp 6 Posted February 27, 2007 Tim, I like this very much, particularly the very dark tree contrasting so well with the rest of the scene, and the graceful branch drooping over the very lonely picnic table. Those elements are so strong that I think I'd prefer to make that the entirety of the image (with a tighter crop on the tree/table), and not be distracted by the presence of the dog. On the other hand, imagine the dog sitting right at the table; that would be powerful. I guess the remoteness of the dog, and the fact that it is leading out of the image (as someone pointed out), make it less appealing (to me, at least). Nevertheless, this is a wonderful image.
