bartimeus1 0 Posted February 26, 2007 This is a 1/3 crop from the larger image. I decided to post this one to the "Fine art"-folder, even though this might also belong to the "Birds" or the "Nature"-folder. Would you like to share your opinion from this one, or from any other image in my portfolio? Thank you! Link to comment
generic american 1 Posted February 26, 2007 Very nice tones and textures. It does have more of a fine art feel than a bird feel. Link to comment
hxt 0 Posted February 26, 2007 As I see more images on this site, I become more and more excited about switching to digital!! I still love the Leicas, but the stuff (like this) I have seen here proves that Black and White can look very fine indeed in Digital format! Great composition! Harv Link to comment

mvisionphotography 1 Posted February 27, 2007 Breathtaking! Just what can I say! it looks like someone almost painted it! You couldn't get it better than this. Almost like a china pattern. This is amazing as the shadows and the snow are perfect. I can't believe you caught this PERFECTLY with the right click and the right timing. SCRATCH THAT. YOU ARE THE MASTER. I CAN BELIEVE YOU CAUGHT IT. I ♥ it! 7/7 for you! Wonderful! ~ micki Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted March 18, 2007 This is amazing, I love it. I tried to capture some images of swans in a thawing river, they didn't compare to this. You have done some wonderful work, congratulations and best wishes. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 9, 2007 so white! almost like a dream. the bird is just like from a dream, fanciful look in its eyes. i once had this kind of moment in a countryside few years ago. sun was coming up and i was sitting in a door step... Link to comment
j.k._york 0 Posted May 15, 2007 the delicate touch of talent. masterful control of whites (something i struggle with). there is no way in my mind that this could be any better. the soft curves of the snow compliment the curves of the swan and the seperation of capturing the bird still in shadow to make it stand against the sunny bank is the only way you could have pulled this shot off. the direction of the head and the flow of the water are in harmony as well. bravo my friend. best regards, J.K.
