ldavidson 4 Posted February 26, 2007 I was given a telephoto lens for my birthday yesterday. This is one of my first shots. We went for a drive in the country and saw this beautiful coyote running beside a small lake. It looked like he was hunting for mice. Not as sharply focused as I would have liked, I gave it some texture in PS Filter Gallery trying to make it look like a watercolour. Any comments, suggestions, advice, critiques are welcome. jim craig 0 Posted February 26, 2007 It looks a little on the soft side to me, but I'd like to see it without the watercolor effect. The larger version is really large and very soft, maybe because it is a crop? regards, jim Link to comment
aeh 0 Posted February 26, 2007 It appears to me that the lense locked onto the nose. Anyway, great shot. Best to you, Al Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 26, 2007 Yes, you are right, it was cropped. I have to get to know this new lens. I haven't used a telephoto for eons. I think I will try to paint this one, in real watercolours not Photoshop, and see how it turns out. I am very excited about being able to capture wildlife images even if they are lacking. Thanks. ldavidson 4 Posted February 26, 2007 Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think that I was just too far away from him. I'm not used to this lens either. I don't know what I can do with it. I am learning. Best Regards, Linda Link to comment
