this little guy is too cute for words. i love the brown patch on his nose. the off center composition reminds us that he appears to be all alone, and the rugged ground around him saddens that feeling. that pink nose looks so innocent. an adorable portrait.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Little newborn calves, and also baby lambs are sweet harbingers of spring, I love to see them. This little guy seemed to be mooing for his mother when I took his picture. As soon as his mother noticed me pointing my camera at her baby she left the herd and came running with wild eyes, mooing very loudly.

There is such sadness and innocence in cows. Gentle creatures doomed to an ugly fate.

 

Don't get me wrong, I ate more steak that is probably healthy but I still feel a sort of sadness whenever I see them.

Adorable!! Perfect composition and dof, Linda! I've stopped eating beef a long time ago, can't bring myself to eat such gentle creatures ...

This incredibly cute calf makes my heart melt ... Very nice picture that gives a warm feeling in the soul ..
