kslonaker 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Thought this looked like a studio background - it's the way the bush is at a distance from this stick. Comments? Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Really nice Kim. yes the dof is done well. Good "action" shot. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Hello Kim. It's simple and well framed. Wish there were some other colours than just brown and gray (ever tried to sneak up to a bird with a can of hair colour spray? - just kidding) The dude's pose makes it look like it's climbing up the stick - it makes the photo dynamic, and funny. Chirp...eh...cheers, Micheal Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Thanks Joseph and Micheal. I was wishing for one of the more colorful birds to perch here, but not today. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted February 26, 2007 hi kim, I like this a lot. . the soft colors in the background are perfect for this little bird and the stick really gives you a sense of perspective. . this lens seems to have nice bokeh . . Link to comment
Dieter Schaefer 20,118 Posted February 26, 2007 Very nice, Kim. Good detail on the bird and a very pleasing background. Would prefer a vertical format (or square) to the landscape format chosen here to accentuate the steepness of the perch more. Regards, Dieter Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted February 26, 2007 This may be a contest entry, Dieter and you can't crop more than 20%, so I left it horizontal because I had already cropped a little. Normally, I probably would have selected a square crop for this. Thanks for visiting, guys! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 27, 2007 Your titles are half the fun on some of these images...do titles count at all in the contest? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 28, 2007 No, you can't even GIVE the entry a title - it's all numbers & letters. Sometimes I come up with titles easily and other times I blank right out. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted February 28, 2007 Good title, Kim... it helps to appreciate this fine image! Link to comment
williammccarey 0 Posted February 28, 2007 One of the best bird and habitat shots I've seen in a while. Great image! Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Beautiful, very beautiful, Kim. These animals do a good job of blending into their backgrounds or they would not survive. Very pleasing rendition that looks like a studio because of the color harmony. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted March 3, 2007 Very good composition, exposure,& DOF,Kim. A winner. Link to comment
