Thought this looked like a studio background - it's the way the bush

is at a distance from this stick. Comments?

Hello Kim. It's simple and well framed. Wish there were some other colours than just brown and gray (ever tried to sneak up to a bird with a can of hair colour spray? - just kidding) The dude's pose makes it look like it's climbing up the stick - it makes the photo dynamic, and funny. hi kim, I like this a lot. . the soft colors in the background are perfect for this little bird and the stick really gives you a sense of perspective. . this lens seems to have nice bokeh . .

Very nice, Kim. Good detail on the bird and a very pleasing background. Would prefer a vertical format (or square) to the landscape format chosen here to accentuate the steepness of the perch more. Regards, Dieter

This may be a contest entry, Dieter and you can't crop more than 20%, so I left it horizontal because I had already cropped a little. Normally, I probably would have selected a square crop for this. Thanks for visiting, guys!

Your titles are half the fun on some of these images...do titles count at all in the contest?

No, you can't even GIVE the entry a title - it's all numbers & letters. Sometimes I come up with titles easily and other times I blank right out.

Beautiful, very beautiful, Kim. These animals do a good job of blending into their backgrounds or they would not survive. Very pleasing rendition that looks like a studio because of the color harmony.
