Samir, I must have looked through a thousand shots this evening, but I keep coming back to your single image. Wow, this is a very emotionally moving candid. Who can look at this and not feel...ripped and torn apart with empathy and sympathy? My eyes are just drawn to every detail: the face, the eye, the lips, the hands and arm, the bread, the clothes, but mostly, the cumulative hardship and the raw humanity. The image, the title, the untold story, the medium, the meaning and the message; this picture just works for me, on all levels. This image proves, to me, that photography is [or can be] so much more than just pretty pictures, and I thank you for the lesson. Outstanding job, my friend. Excellent work. Exquisite capture.
