BEWARE--if you look at this you will be bombarded with an

advertisement. And since my image is the bait--maybe I should be the

one getting getting the revenue. Same with your images...maybe WE

ALL should be getting paid. What do you think?

I think it is UNETHICAL and misdirected to have ads placed on the comment and critique sections of our images. This means that our images are used as bait to lure viewers and potential customers for the firm that is advertising. I do not fault the advertisers, I fault PN for using our work and subsequent comments on our work, to generate revenue for the organization. If you don't know it yet--- I am most upset by this. What is next? Is it on a scale? Meaning does PN get more $ for images that receive more hits, are the highest rated, etc., versus those images that are not viewed or rated as often?

No comment on the advertisment. I like the capture which can be so difficult during a performance. My only thing is I feel she is kind of floating in all of the black.

Thanks Carla...I respect your decision not to comment on the advertising gripe I have. And I am going to take the comment about "floating" as a compliment, as that is what I was striving for. Thanks again for your comment....LJ

I have been amazed at all of these and just had to tell you. They all just seem to flow and this one seems to me like little porcelain doll. I love the colors and the detail of all of them. I just wanted you to know I am in awe of them and your skill and talent in how you are able to go and take pictures like this. I am also jealous that you get to go see the balet. Maybe we can come up and watch one sometime! :) ~ micki

Lesa you are right. On the other hand PN never insisted that is an insitution.

I personally hate advertisments but by the years I use an inner filter automatically. When I see an adv. my inner brain erase it. I mean it, so you may asked me a few seconds after, when I am waching TV and I remember only photos, if good, nothing more. Good job. Visit if you like my theatrical job.

I care to comment on the 'advertisement'...... i find it annoying and space consuming. If i wanted to log onto AMAZON.com i would have gone there instead. Anyhow, love the picture, nice isolation of your ballerina. By the way, how did you take a picture in the show!? it seems every time i want to take my camera to a theater....it's forbidden and the ushers want to kill me!!! LOL Take care.

 

Hi Pamela...I had a friend performing and got permission from the director to shoot from the wings, or backstage. It was a great experience which I will get to repeat soon, as the director loved the images....regards...LJ

This is a very good foto. The only thing I would change would be to crop it tighter. There is a lot of wasted background space.

Thanks Jim.... I intentionally wanted an open - roomy image. I have a few others that are tighter, but she just looked like she wanted space in this frame. Just my taste for this shot, but thanks anyway :)))) LJ
