atlatling 4 Posted February 23, 2007 I'd like to hear suggestions on further improvements. It was almost black originally. Link to comment
laurentbaig 0 Posted February 23, 2007 Wow, sorry to hear the shot was bad. This, as is, has a dreamy quality to it. Not sure how you can do any better. I've tried rescuing a few bad shots this way, but most of the time I just promise myself to go back for another opportunity. Link to comment
peter_babucsik 0 Posted February 23, 2007 I like it. I think the branch on the left needless. Link to comment
mvonnied 0 Posted February 23, 2007 I like it as well the gloomy sky and green are great. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted February 27, 2007 have you tried messing with the levels in Photoshop? On ones like this, I usually add a duplicate layer, use the levels to bring the brightness up and possibly do a high pass filter to add a little more contrast. Link to comment
rfadams45 0 Posted February 27, 2007 I agree that the branch on the left coming out of the bottom would be better left out. I really like the contrast of the green foreground against the bleak coldness of the mountains and the storm. It's a shot I would be proud of. Link to comment
vp 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Really fascinating. Like the feeling of strong nature... luckily far away.Congratulations. 7/7 Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted March 7, 2007 I just like it! Something about the soft sweep of the clouds down to the left and the crisp lines of the tree leaning slightly like being pulled magnetically along with the clouds. Link to comment
atlatling 4 Posted March 7, 2007 thanks Lucy and others above for appreciation and suggestions. I have removed the extra tree in another copy and I suspect it is better that way. I still have some work to do on it and will probably mess it up, but will eventually add it here on these pages for comparison purposes. Link to comment
