Good timing in that you got a great stance, and good focus, you got both sharp.

Great overall selection of ballet images ... I have been to shows where there were some dancers but I usually always end up in frustration trying to capture it well.

As an aside, he seemed particularly tight-as*ed, no? LOL! These dancers need to RELAX! Ah, forget the joke. A nice capture of a fleeting moment in dance. As always, your prograss in all genres is truly amazing. I remember just watching your stuff from last year. You REALLY have soaked up this site like a sponge, Lesa. Bravo!

Thanks to Dale, Emmanuel, and Richard for stopping by and leaving comments. Emmanuel-- your right, probably could bounce a quarter off of it-- LOL Richard I used two lenses during the performance, both Sigma's-- a 28-70 and 70-300. I am not sure which one was used for this particular image, but I think maybe the 28-70. Thanks again to all of you for your support. Regards...LJ

I have declared total war to all 3/3 and to all the bad raters; kindly see my last image; one OK from you might scare them all. I am ready to receive information about these worms and to send it to all my friends. The idea is to rate their work as they deserve! Best regards, Catalin

Lesa,

This is a fantastic capture in light not designed for photos. You caught them without blur, a rare treat. Haven't been to the ballet since 1986 in Stuttgart and I need to go. Thanks for sharing all of the ballet pix. Hope you made it through Mardi Gras okay, hope you took some shots of it.

Thanks Andrew...many of my shots from the ballet were blurry, but I was fortunate to have a few crisp ones. It is funny but a few of the blurry ones, I was able to work with in various ways and actually make more of an artistic expression in a surreal sort of way. Those are some of my favorites as they combine not only my artistic vision, but the art of the dancers themselves. Some are in portfolio. Mardi Gras....well I didn't go for Fat Tuesday, but the Sunday prior to that day is a big day in Mobile--called "Joe Cain" day. Well, I definately OVERdid it that day. And unfortunately I did not take my camera. Kind of hard to hold a camera, a beer, and a moonpie all at the same time :)))

HaHa Dave. A male friend of mine, who happens to be "happy" , LOVES this photo. He wants a lifesize blow up of it. Isn't that a hoot? Regards...LJ
