kslonaker 0 Posted February 20, 2007 I was trying to sneak up on these Sandhill Cranes (yeah, right!). This is what I got. Link to comment
jnicholson 0 Posted February 20, 2007 What I find cool about this shot is your perspective. It feels as though we're soaring with the birds. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 20, 2007 If you could have heard the dialog during these shots, it was all x-rated! I was so upset they flew off before I got to them, but I went ahead and shot in-flight pictures anyway. Link to comment

kim_tural 0 Posted February 20, 2007 I like this very much. The colours are subtle and the lighting makes for interesting shadows. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 23, 2007 Thanks, everyone. Hopefully, I will get another chance at them on the ground, too. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted February 24, 2007 I think I saw your flock fly by today! :) Seriously, though, I did see a flock of some large birds (the sun got in my eyes so I couldn't see them clearly). Their necks were way to long to be geese and their call was not something I was familiar with...sigh, I wish I had seen them clearly. Anyway, I think this capture is really great! The way they fly through your image with those big wings spread is incredible. Bet it was amazing to see...even if it did make you swear a bit :) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 24, 2007 They definitely are amazing to see even if you don't get to take a picture! There were probably at least 50-60 of them, maybe even more! We'll be back tomorrow to try our luck again. Link to comment
