dave_dube 10 Posted February 18, 2007 I was looking at some slides and thought this was a nice one to scan and share. Taken with a tripod and camera on 20sec timer. Link to comment
anthony johns 0 Posted February 18, 2007 Intersting, but the colors are a little too much. Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted February 18, 2007 Anthony, I do think that the yellow is too much myself. As indicated, this was a scanned slide and unmanipulated. Thanks for commenting. Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted February 18, 2007 OK, so what do I know ~ it was the red channel that is way too strong. This must have been Kodak. Anyway, I did want to post this as unmanipulated and even doing that, folks aren't happy because it's NOT manipulated. Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted February 18, 2007 I guess being in Paradise just went to your head. I'm glad you did not encounter one of the black bears. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 19, 2007 Actually, I like the strong colors of the original. The whole image is so preposterous, so original and the composition so pleasingly bizarre (at least for me) the colors seem to compliment it perfectly. These could be the foothills of Oz. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 20, 2007 I think it's a charming image! (in either color) Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted February 24, 2007 Shawn, we've only run into bears on the Sunrise side of the mountain. I always have my bear spray in that area.Jack, sometimes this area and path is like a fantasy path. We always enjoy seeing women in their best dress and pumps going above the paved path. Guess they are high on the "mollies".Kim, thanks! I like my first post, I did have a rich tan, we had been living in Florida and heading to Oregon for our summer job.Regards, Dave Link to comment

dave_dube 10 Posted July 28, 2007 Thanks Bert, glad I was able to keep just enough of the sign to add an extra dimension. I use to not think anything of carrying my Bogen 3221 and squeeze grip head, now - ugh. Link to comment
