I was immediately attracted to the colors and textures of this image,

as well as the contrast of natural and man-made. I'm also very

interested in color photographs which might loosely be termed

abstract, since the lines, colors, and textures are more important

than the actual "thing" represented. I'd appreciate any comments,

ratings, suggestions. Thanks.

The nice thing about this "abstract" picture is that there are still some small parts of it that are not really abstract, like the grass and the reflection of the trees.

let me guess, you are not a big fan of modern (20th century) art, in particular abstract art... your picture shows reflections of the trees in the water, it's as non-abstract as Dutch paitings of the 16th century. Otherwise, it's very nice, but if you want to see "abstract" check out some late paintings of Miro.

find the white slightly distracting but aside from that really love this - the definition and detail on the right really draws me in.

Good play of opposing lines with the drain and tree reflections which to some extent pull me into the image but I don't find myself drawn to itj - perhaps distracted by the interruptions caused by the grass and pebbles - could you have gotten in a little closer to make a more stark image?... I think that would have vastly improved it - great contrast and detail.
