wedeko 0 Posted February 18, 2007 Very nice and colorful photo! To me the water is a little bit too purple and the building could be more black :) Link to comment

markb11664880245 0 Posted March 16, 2007 AMAZING photo. the red is so intense, i love it. It has a warm feel, i wish i was there. At first glace, i thought that the seagull on the far left was a dolphin. oops. Link to comment
tylerwind 0 Posted March 23, 2007 Thanks for your comment, Mark! No, not a dolphin. But, if you look at my "Life on the Docks" folder the shot where the shrimp boat is out at sea against a sunrise sky--THAT shot has a dolphin! I see them literally just about every night but because I'm shooting low light they don't make the composition too often. I have some close up shots of dolphins as well, but none that are "spectacular" enough to post on here. Since you bring it up, one day when I was going to shoot that lighthouse in my profile I saw 5 dolphins playing in a little creek. I walked over to the edge (it dropped off from dirt to about 4 feet of water) and they swam over to me and played with each other and watched me for a good 5 minutes--it was one of my cooler beach experiences because I saw their faces and they would stick their heads out of the water and make their clicking and chirping noises at me. I wasn't quite close enough to touch them, but I could have spit on them without much effort! I always see them breaking the surface swimming in the waters around here but that day was neat because they were jumping out of the water, splashing, clicking, rolling around on the surface, etc.--it was really something off of the Discovery Channel. The thing that amazed me was their size...when you get up on them, they are HUGE animals! I was really shocked at their size. I just figured I'd share that story since you brought of dolphins and I ALWAYS love seeing wildlife when I go out, whether in my yard, to the mountains, or on the beach.
