williammccarey 0 Posted February 16, 2007 As is, this shot is excellent. I hesitate to make a suggestion: add 25% more room to the right and crop it from the left. I would love to see the horses' trail in the snow up to this point. This is a personal preference, not a photographic critique. Your photo is perfect! Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 17, 2007 Hi there, Thanks for looking. You could be right about the position of the horses. I may try it. I wonder if the dark horses face would be lost in the trees. All the best, Linda Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted April 8, 2007 I'm not sure how to phrase my comments about this. It is a very evocative photograph, signifying (to me) a true feel of winter. I can almost feel the cold crisp air and hear the silence of falling snow. I love the bare trees. The running horses give a sense of fun and freedom, a sense of truly being alive and savoring the moment as only animals can. This is very beautiful to me. Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 258 Posted May 24, 2007 The over saturation I don't have to mention anymore, after all the public wants it that way! This is the picture I mentioned as an example that white frames wouldn't increase the general impression of the non white snow! The over saturation is not kind of screaming, but a slight decrease of it would be advisable! All according the rules again! Pity I can't see it larger size! Ah, I almost forgot: The outer thick stroke (even huge) doesn't have any function! A tinny little black stroke would have done! And why not equally large on the verticals as on the horizontals?! And what about darkening of the trees?! Only there where they appear brighter than the rest of them! I have nothing against the artificial snow! It looks genuine! PDE Link to comment

stupski 0 Posted June 16, 2007 Thought perhaps the snow was added after seeing one of your other photos, and must say that it only enhances the image for me in terms of Folk Art painting, and coming very close to replicating that wonderful nostalgic feel of the past. Don't think you should try to move those horses and their shadows. They look like they have a mind of their own. A bit more breathing space on the right would have been nice, and probably still can be done, but it's not a critical thing by any means. Link to comment
