fergi 0 Posted February 16, 2007 Eerie, and I like it. Good lighting, nice composition, elaborate minimalism. Well, done. fergi Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted February 16, 2007 I really do like this, Michael. Like finding an old antique shop. Nicely balanced composition and tones. The only negative I see is the very hot area across the top center. I'm just learning some of the editing tools and think the Lasso tool, to trace the area, and then apply negative gamma to it, brings that overexposed area closer to normal, and shows the articles on that shelf, in greater detail. Guest Guest Posted February 16, 2007 Great image. I agree, the light shouldn't be that strong and resolved by you, otherwise it's excellent :) Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted February 16, 2007 Exquisite arrangement, subtle lighting & nice tonal range, Michael!!! Best regards Link to comment
mmene 0 Posted February 16, 2007 The strong light is a matter of my decision . I want to symbolize the upper world . Maybe it is a wrong way . I will re-think about it. Thanks to all for your nice comments and Doug for your kind advice. This is the original and you see the light and details. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 16, 2007 Wishful thinking dear friend, but for some, it's still very dark...GM&GN Michael Link to comment
mmene 0 Posted February 16, 2007 Thanks to Kazimiera for the creative critique. I changed it a little making it more bright. But I have to explain once again that it's a matter of choice. By any way it's very significant to me every comment and especially from people like you with known good taste and ability. Thank you once again my friend Kazimiera . Have a look to the knew version and also to the very original capture and tell me your opinion please . Link to comment

snapshooter 0 Posted February 16, 2007 I still think your original post is best, Michael.Brightening the overall scene removes the mystery and mood, for me. It was just a 17kb file and I wasn't very adept at illustrating my thoughts, so I didn't post it. It does still show the brightness, but a bit more detail and tones on the shelf. Of course, I respect your subjective thoughts. Just wish I was better equipped to illustrate my impression. And personally, I feel that lightening the whole room destroys the atmosphere. Your original is perfect. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 16, 2007 The one you posted originally is the best one, beautiful and excellent. Because of the system I couldn't rate 7/7, but I will, as soon as I can. I'm not an expert about the light like you are, and more, I'm not into technical staff. The tone of the image (and the last one you posted, sorry I connected in my thoughts) suggested rather hell which is not that bright... maybe some ray of the light as a hope. I'm sorry for that confusion. Good Night and Good Morning(GN&GM). Link to comment
photodonn 0 Posted February 16, 2007 This is a fantastic image, and you got it right the first time imo. How much time did you spend arranging it to your satisfaction? It's fabulous, bravo! Link to comment
mmene 0 Posted February 16, 2007 Finally I believe that the first version is better for the claustrophobic mood of the scene . Thanks to all of you for your warm comments . Link to comment
