Traffic seems to be low on the PN these days and it's hard to improve

when you don't get feedback and ratings. Thank you for looking.

We all love to photograph children, but each picture needs to tell a story. I can't figure out a story here. The subject looks off and pulls at his hair, looking a little unhappy. Why? Also such pictures need simple backgrounds that help tell the story. The white vertical strip just behind the hand on the left draws the eye to it without meaning. The yellow X is less offensive but does not help. And what is that multicolored lump on lower right?

thank you. it's helpful when people provide feedback. this is my son and it is a habit of his to tug at his hair. the picture was taken in front of a big red barn shed. the lump on the right is a garden hose rolled up on a stand. My husband originally suggested that i crop it differently so that the left white line on the barn was cropped off, but then it would take away from "hair tugging" which was what I was trying to capture for the sake of a memory. I'll try a different crop and see how it works (see attached). thank you again. -sherry
