rkynast 1 Posted February 15, 2007 You might consider cropping a bit off the left side of this scene, Mark. The fall colors are beautiful. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 15, 2007 Disagree with the crop suggestion (IMHO). I think, judging by the title, you liked finding nature and its beauty as it is, not as it is made more perfect by a crop or different camera angle. Beautiful shot. It feels just like places I've been to. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted February 15, 2007 Thanks Richard and Fred for taking a look. I would look at this image and consider many ways to crop in an effort to simplify the scene. In Freds accurate and not so humble opinion, however, I chose to include as much of the scene as possible instead. This style would be my effort to emulate the well known style of Robert Glenn Ketchum. He looked for order in chaos, often revealing a scene simply the way he observed it, even if a bit busy. In this perhaps extreme representation, however, there are many elements for the eye to take in. I felt the rocks on the left to be part of the chaos. I appreciate the comments!! Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted February 15, 2007 Hi Mark- First the obvious, the colours are beautiful. "Beauty in Chaos" I agree completely, this is what nature is when you get beyond the "back 40"You have captured this disorder completely & it is my kind of image, instead of the neat & orderly manner od a lot od landscapes. Well done. Ross Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted February 20, 2007 This is an absolutely stunning scene with gorgeous colours. It looks like it has been very carefully composed and not chaotic to in the least. The only nitpick is the bit of glare at the top left of centre, but it does give the scene a certain authenticity, being able to pick the direction of the light, so it doesn't diminish the scene at all. corbin 0 Posted February 21, 2007 No need to crop anything, the composition is just fine. And the light is beautiful. Link to comment
