Guest Guest Posted February 15, 2007 Hi Doug, I like the detail in the foreground rock a lot and the water seems fine. The sky seems to have some graininess to it. How did you convert? I find using the channel mixer in PS gives a lot of flexibility because you have a lot of control over the greyscale conversion of each color (rgb) and might be able to get the sky a little cleaner. I've also heard of a free program, haven't gotten it yet, called noise ninja which helps to clean these things up too. --Fred Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted February 15, 2007 This was done with a combination of two processes in PS. One is the channel mixer and I primarily used the blue channel to turn the rocks darker. That turned the sky completely white. So I added a second process of a gradient adjustment layer with a overlay layer under it. That brought some detail back into the sky. I agree that the sky is grainy. I could try a blur on the sky to remove that. Thanks for the comment! Link to comment
