mvisionphotography 1 Posted February 14, 2007 NO filter, No manipulation but some cropping. Please critique and comment. :) Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted February 14, 2007 I like the colors and tones in this, but is there a way to clean it up and get more detail and contrast? The trees don't stand out enough from the sunset. But the composition works well. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted February 14, 2007 I had already cropped it so much I was afraid to do anything to it for fear of getting any loss of quality in the picture. I might play with it at a later date and just didn't really look at it to hard. Sometimes I adjust to much (because I move into paint/canvas style) and I didn't want to loose anything that was genuine here. Link to comment

Dennis Newman 0 Posted February 14, 2007 Nice simple compositiion. Maybe cropped too tight on the right? I think some work with levels would have increased contrast, brought out some of the sunset colors, and still have been true to what you saw in the field. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted February 14, 2007 I had no choices in the picture since the hubby was driving at 60mph and the color of the sky was fading fast. We had just been out taking pictures of a sunset and some old dock on the river so we didn't expect the sky to turn like this. I just held the camera out the window and clicked I cropped after turning the picture around and cut out an ugly piece of old sign (wrecked from hurricane IVAN). I have some other pictures but this was the best one because of the tree's. Thank you ;) Link to comment

joanbn 0 Posted February 14, 2007 I like the soft look of the photo. I understand, totally, about snapping photos while driving. Seems that's the way I shoot many of my photos. Agree that the right side is cropped a hair too close but can't all be perfect, can they... :) Very nice. Link to comment
