A statue in a park in Norfolk. I took this shot for Regina ... she LOVES this statue! :-)

Any thoughts on the B&W? The DOF? Lighting? Hot spots? Anything else? Any feedback would be very welcome!!

DOF is excellent. Hot spots bother me a little, but not bad. I'd like a touch more space at the bottom, if possible, just to complete the "v" of his arm.

First of all Welcome Home and Happy Valentine.....this image seems to suit both emotions. Good DOF, adequate range of tones (I'd probably like a little more contrast), image seems "clean" and is well cropped and exposed. I wish our "boys" in Iraq could come home, it's getting brutal over there.

Very well done, even though the white patch on the top right corner probably could be removed and a touch more space on the bottom ... Very nice shot as it is ... Nice one, Lou Ann ...

Tricky exposure with this one, I like the overall tonality you have got as there is a lot of good detail and texture.

Perfect, wonderful... great light... you pick anything and you may have it from my portfolio.

But my husband is in the Navy and well this just about knocked my off my chair and well I can't stop crying!

As much time as my husband is gone (he luckily is home for the next few years). THIS is one of the best pictures of a statue (and yes I have seen this one a long time ago when we lived in DC ~ I think) THIS one tugs at my heart strings the way you took it as 9/11 has happened since then... and the war, yes the silly war thing.

The contrast and the lighting and the way the sun was sitting that day is wonderful. Your DOF and the way you framed it is perfect. What a special thing you did for a friend!

Ok... have to wipe these tears off before the hubby see's them! :) ~ micki
