Excellent shot, very dramatic.

Great subject and atmosphere - the power of machine against the will of nature...

 

Not sure how possible would have been to avoid the vegetation in foreground - it somewhat detracts from a superb subject, it may have been worth to get closer or to shoot from a higher standpoint... but no sweat, the picture made my day!

 

is that thing a cloud machine? Looks like it's a cloud factory but the print, the composition, light and tonality are really super. Very very nice work.

Talk about a powerful image! I love it! The industrial revolution at its worst. And very nicely juxtapositioned with fragile living plants. Very, very evocative photo. Nice drop shadow. Excellent work! 7/7 anon

Jim, it is a paper mill and you can imagine the odor.

Great subject, Sondra! I like the horizontal elements of the mill against the expanse of smoke and sky.
