In the safety of the salt pan

Springbocks od Etosha spend hours in this salty and hot "safety".

When they are not grazing they prefer to relax in these vast plains

where they can spot preditors miles away and have time to spring

jana, i think i know the spot (just past twee palms heading away from namutoni on fischer's pan) and even if not i took similar pictures...just a pity the results aren't similar. my own are bland in comparison...up until then i thought they weren't too bad ! i wonder should i blame the camera. well done. michael

Perfect mood and composition!

I like this minimalist shot. I particularly like the blue of the salt pan leading into the more solid blue of the sky. It almost appears the gazelle (?) is walking on water. Very cool shot!
