heh, my kind of shot, I really like it, although the big white is a bit blistered for me - a little bit toooo overpowering there.

Thanks for the comment. I did enhance the sun with the dodge tool. Perhaps too much. I wanted to balance the dark trees on the lower right, which seemed heavy to me.

Best Regards,

Linda

Hi Rob,

You may be right about the sun being to big and blistereing. I enhanced it with the dodge tool in PS. I wanted to balance the trees on the lower right which seemed too dark and heavy. I may have overdone it. Thanks for taking the time to look at this and commenting. It is very much appreciated.

Regards,

Linda

Linda, this is a beautiful shot. After first look I had also an impression that the sun is too big and attracting too much attention, but finally, after looking at the image for a longer time, I like the dramatic tension between a strong sun and a peaceful, simple scene 'on the ground'. I think this makes this image interesting.maria

i love the leading lines of the fence and the fact that it goes diagonally across the photo adds interest without dividing the composition. what i really love here is the blue. the shades of teh color are brilliant and the fact that you worked it into the frame really adds a feeling of unity to the piece.

I can feel the cold & the peace. A wonderful sight to behold :) I can almost hear some sleigh bells off in the distance. Well composed, exposed, detailed & lit. Just a wonderful image :)
