Russian lacquered boxes - Moscow in February '03

Looks like an interesting attempt to capture local artistry. However, the glare makes it hard to see what seem to be intriguing images and the wood block in the center bottom disrupts the shot. Perhaps a straight on shot with the rows running straight across and a polarizer filter to reduce the glare would work? On the other hand, standing at the end and shooting down the row might also be a nice way for our eyes to take in this scene. I hope you can take more shots!
