It would not be fair to be TOO gentle! I think it's a great start. I like the lighting and composition. Also the look of the hair responding to the smell. (At least that's how I see it.) If I could change anything, it would be the hair covering the eye and the seams going through the white fabric. By the way, your two current posts are nice, but your portrait is my favorite so far!
