The Nikorr 17-55mm 2.8 is expensive, but gives some amazing results. I had the chance to play with one also. Of course, it is equivalent to an 80 mm or something like that on a digital right? I think it makes a good portrait lens at longer focal lengths, and with better DOF than my lenses can get.

 

 

 

Chales it was a D200 I was using and not the D100 as said, you were right I was using the 17-55 f:2.8 it's great that you can see that and you are right its a great lens but I gave this to my partner as I mainly use canon although I still use it from time to time.
