A 3:1 Live Macro, please look at the detail inside. Thank you for

your feedback and honest ratings. If have trouble deciding on

originality, please consider the possibility that this may be the

biggest and most detailed macro of a bee you may have seen.

Thank you.

I think you know this is a great shot and if it were mine i'd be really pleased. What equipment were you using and what are the shooting details?

Thank you my friend for the feedback. I'm being told, left and right NOT to be modest and this time, I'm not going to be!

I used Tamron SP DI 180MM Macro along with a 2X converter and about 130MM of extension tubes. As you know, this makes it a very tuff shooting set up and with the 2x, you lose lots of light and also lose detail!

Thank you again.

Yes, it really looks excellent for me. If I am picky, I would like to see its whole left antenna.

But then it looks so angry that I want to shut whole photo! I am allergic, you see :) Seriously, I like this a lot. No ratings, a s l a

Thank you for stopping by. When you get that close to something like this, you have to cut your frame at some point. I did want to include it's right legs in the shot though.

Outstanding Cyrus, tremendous focus and detail, beautiful light and color. Having seen your Macro work I now refer to my own as "baby" Macro's, "still" haven't seen anyone else working at this level...incredible.

Probably not the biggest or the most detailed macro of a bee I've seen.

However, very solid shot. You nailed the DOF (not an easy thing to do at the best of times) and the colours look great.

Live bee, hand held... Very well done.

I thank you for dropping in and commenting my friend. You certainly seem to know the business. I am, by no means being fresh, but I have truly and expeditiously been looking around specially for bee shots. I'd appreciat any link that that you or anyone else may leave here for me.

With best regards.

cyrus my freind, all i can say is that mastery of macro shooting combined with an artistic color perspective can only lead to shots like yours.

things i specifically like:

1. details

2. grad in the colors of the bg are gorgeous

3. handling of that heavy setup and getting a shot of this caliber with it:)

my regards, RK!
