sawicki 0 Posted February 6, 2007 Nice scene captured - symmetry and geometry of camels, plus some desert life. Link to comment
goose1285 0 Posted February 6, 2007 wow, great picture! I know I shouldn't really be complaining about anything in this picture, but I feel like it would have been an even better picture if the camels to the right were not in the picture. also, tell us about the picture! where was this? Saudi Arabia, North Africa? also what were you doing there? either way tho, congrats on this picture! Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted February 7, 2007 thanks for the comments erik, these caravans cross the tenere desert in niger, south sahara. it is still cheaper to transport the salt using camels than by truck. this caravan consists of 10 groups each with 12 camels lead by a one touareg. these groups march often in parallel side by side, which i wanted to capture in this documentary, concentrating on one group, but showing the framework. i also wanted the shadows of the camels Link to comment

Karl Schuler 48 Posted February 7, 2007 This is a clever, well composed photo, giving a very different mood from the usual beach camel shots. For my taste it could be a bit brighter. It would be perfect if all the shadows of the right caravan would be visible. Karl Link to comment
