This shot works for me. The optical movement initiated at a strong entry point is uninterrupted. The linear perspective displaying converging lines creates continuation ending onto the building in the distance which I believe must be the motif. The primary point of interest has good tonality and shape contrast with effective shape, contrast, and color emphasis. The balance is achieved through eye

direction.

What I like to point out here argument wise is the placement of the motif. There are two opposing concepts in visual literacy principle called ' leveling' and ' sharpening' ( nothing to do with sharpened details). It emphasizes the placement principle. The leveling occurs when an object is placed dead center of the frame-known to be very stable and symmetric. The sharpening is generated when an object is placed off center ( conventionally pushed toward the corners). the nearer to the corner, the higher the gravity and weight. what is not recommended at all based on perception principles is hanging between the two when an object is near the center . It is bothersome since the viewer is caught in a state in which he tries to mentally solve the indeterminacy of placement. In your case, you could have moved the building more off center by cropping off the right edge a bit which would surely clear out some distracting elements like the pedestrian on the right with white scarf who has produced a gravity since he is in contrast with his whereabout.
