An eerie mood is established in this wonderful composition and exposure. I like the trail leading in on the left side; and the slight skiff of snow, covering, but not fully obscuring the details of the leaves and vegetation. Look at this large, Ross; there is a thin horizontal color spectral band crossing the downed log in the middle. Is this a scan? Well seen, and captured. Cheers! Chris

I may have hiked through this very path many moons ago...it looks so serene..I remember it full of black flies :) I also remember that there was history and calm there. You really brought it through in this picture. Great shot.

Kim, Thanks for your comments, bug spray is part of your pack in the summertime & if you forget it you'll be sorry. In our hiking days we completed the 800 km trail twice & loved every foot of it, it,s a beautiful trail. Cheers-Ross
