Very nice shot, like the action of it.You can use your blurring tool on low setting around the edges after sharpening, works very well to get rid of lines you don,t want.

Thanks Birte for your kind comment!

I already did a selective sharpening. Actually I know how to blur things I don't want. Which lines should I blur in your opinion?

I like this moment of action. The blue shirt provide a striking contast to the overall muted colour tones & I like it.

Another exceptional action shot from you, Carlo. It's interesting to me that I first looked at the horses and their facial expressions, then looked at the riders. I don't know why. The horse in the foreground has such an intense look, seeming entirely focused on the race, leading me to believe that this is the winning horse!

There is a lot of wonderful detail in this shot, and great colors. I do see the sharpening artifacts around parts of the riders and horses.

I'm sure you know how to use the blur to lessen these artifacts. That said, when I do sharpening, I do it on a separate layer. Then create a layer mask for that layer, then use the brush tool at varying strengths to lessen any sharpening "halos" that are apparent. It works better than the blur tool for me, simply because it doesn't blur.

But anyway, as I said, this is excellent, and you do this very well. Frankly, it surprises me that your work does not get more notice on this photo.net site.

You should blur the edges of the peoples clothing and faces,on the very lowest setting, that does not blur the subject but just gets rid of the sharp line, I hope you did not get offended by my remark I did not mean it that way.Next time you are in Asia you should come to the Northern territories of Australia, you would find some terrific subjects there.
