davidmccracken 2 Posted January 30, 2007 Hong Kong is a busy place! Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
david aichele 0 Posted January 30, 2007 I love the composition of this image. The underside of the awnings creates an interesting path for my eye to flow. The colors are nice, and the image is very sharp. Since I live in a land where housing is horizontal vs vertical, I really enjoy seeing this stark contrast. Nice work David! Link to comment
roger_kallet 0 Posted January 30, 2007 An unusual, but excellent, example of pattern in a photograph. Well done. Link to comment
teru 0 Posted January 30, 2007 You know, I've been in HK for a couple of years now and I've yet to shoot any of the older areas yet. I guess I should get cracking, considering how quickly things get torn down around here. So which area was this? Shek Kip Mei? Kowloon Shing? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 30, 2007 David, This is a personal favourite of mine. I didn't know how it would fly on P.N. In truth it hasn't flown too well although I am very pleased with the comments it has received. Yours is very much appreciated. Roger, I like to be unusual. It is good to know that I can sometimes be unusual and excellent. Airi, Thank you! Owen, Thank you too! Teru, I hear you! There are so many chances to do street and building photography in Hong Kong and I really don't do as much as I should. In all honesty I can't remember where I shot this. It may even be Causeway Bay. Sorry I can't be of more help! Thanks for stopping by! Gerardo, I hope you don't get busy. Link to comment
domen.colja 0 Posted January 31, 2007 David, this shot is tremendously captivating. The composition and angle emphasize drama, especially the perspective that keeps the viewer thinking (imho) there are concentric circles of apartments going around. "Wow". Congrats! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 1, 2007 I was aware of the efect you mention when I took the shots. There are many building like this in Hong Kong but they are disappearing as Teru has pointed out. Thanks a lot! Link to comment

www.photo.netphotosseamo 0 Posted January 16, 2009 Because of the way the shadows appeared in the thumbnail, i first thought this was an abstract, and i was looking at it from the perspective of the top left being the foreground and the bottom right being the background. another look strightened that out for me, but still! i like the way each balcony is unique as well, but they all fit together like one picture!
