pnital 36 Posted January 28, 2007 Atmospher of evening talk in a cafe in the city. Thanks, Pnina Link to comment
petervannugteren 4 Posted January 28, 2007 I like the warm mood you captured so well here, Pnina. The dark lines definitly add to this mood. Good job! Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted January 29, 2007 I too, like the mood you impart here and I think I will have another drink of coffee myself......Jim Link to comment
peacecheck 0 Posted January 29, 2007 For me, this image is all about atmosphere. This is a image of a everyday event that is not truly notice. Thoughts and empty emotions are being shared over coffee. This image takes more than a glance to fully appreciate. I can smell the coffee now. Well done and thanks for sharing. Also, it's nice to meet you too. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted January 29, 2007 You captured the cozy atmosphere very well, Pnina. I like, also, the composition with vertical and horizontal lines. It would, also, work well in B&W. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted January 29, 2007 I think colour still works better as the warm light enhances the atmospher of the cafe. Interesting to see different expression & dining behaviour of those diners. Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted January 29, 2007 Besides the warm atmosphere and nice framing of the couple it brings back fond memories of all the cups of coffee I have had in similar places. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted January 29, 2007 I like the atmosphere you captured here, Pnina: very warm, almost intimate. I wonder what it wood look like cropping a bit on the right, the ey tend to move there away from the focal point of the couple. Link to comment
kaushikphotography 0 Posted January 29, 2007 Excellent warm feelings. Simple subject but attractive. Like it.Thanks for coming to my Portfolio Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 29, 2007 To all of you. Alberto, I will upload a B/W version, you are right, I did it before uploading the colored one, but decided that the cafe light is better transfering the atmospher. Paula, I don't think I want to crop that side as IMO it helps to accentuate the atmospher of cafe with people, not only the couple in the FG. David, nice of you, thanks for your visit. richard hans 0 Posted January 30, 2007 The warm toning makes really nice atmosphere here, Pnina, very well executed!!! Best regards. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Nice colors, nice mood...the front couple makes the story...the rest participate to create atmosphere and mood of this evening rendez-vous in a very smooth and elegant way...cheers, Laurent Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted January 31, 2007 nope, no offense to Alberto, but color really creates the soft warm mood here... very inviting and enveloping. Like the voyeuristic charm to the protagonists closest the window. Are they on the verge of a "we-have-to-talk"/"I think we should start to see other people" conversations, or simply at a lull in their chat? Tons of possibilities for the viewer to ponder. Well done Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted January 31, 2007 I like your sneak peek inside. The warm yellow cast creates the perfect mood. I also appreciate the slight motion blur creating the action of the place. Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Hello Pnina, I love the freedom I see in this photo. It is difficult for me to explain my feelings seeing these people simply living their lives. A good moment, perhaps an insignificant moment, but frozen in time, these people in your photo are sharing this casual moment and their confidence to live in a chaotic world and seeing them doing so helps us to do the same. Thanks for your simple photo about "Coffee time" 2007. My best regards, ~Sky Link to comment
mmene 0 Posted February 1, 2007 Very nice colors and synthesis with the orizontal and vertical lines. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 1, 2007 Jef and Kent, good and funny definitions( voyeurist , protagonist, sneak inside), all of them are right ;-)), I pass on that street often, and I was attracted to the inside ,which is well seen in the outside, beacuse of the nice glass constractions. I could not hear what they were talking about Jef, but what was interesting to me is the visual side and what the light was doing to the place and people. The atmospher of a popular way of coffee time... Sky, as always, well written, thank Link to comment
