Second in a series. Amazing 3D Ultrasound of our 5th grandson due in April of 07. At 26 weeks, the detail is amazing. I played in Painter & PSCS to accentuate the results. Completely amazing:) Now I can't wait to get my hands on this little alien :)

Here's the original for comparison. Hope you are half as amazed as I :)

Jayme, this is quite incredible. I am astonished at the detail. I had no idea that this was possible--even with your post-processing skills. Well done!

It is astonishing what one can see today! I know very little about Ultrasound, but this was amazing. The 3D images where projected up on a wall, making them about 6ft x 6ft tall. 2 grandmothers, 1 grandfather, our daughter (of course) & her husband & their other 2 children were all invited to watch. I used the original frame for fun. Simply amazing!

It is not standard practice yet to have a 3D ultrasound done. So you must pay out of pocket. In the near future, I can only imagine, it will become standard practice. Good for discovery of a multitude of problems. I have read a few articles lately about intrauterine surgery. Can you imagine!!!! Just a short 30 years ago they couldn't even tell you the sex of your unborn child. Amazing!

Thanks Ken, amazingly they look like they're made out of mud or clay :) But then you see that little heart beating & dah.... it dawns on you they're alive :) Awesome experience, so glad our daughter included us in the experience. On my birthday, no less. Best birthday gift ever:)

Well, to start with then: happy birthday Jayme!

This is an incredible picture. I also have the little B&W pictures of my children when they were still living inside me :) but they were not in 3D and that makes the big difference here. You made it a fantastic image after postprocessing. Although it already IS fantastic to have pictures taken from the little one inside. I wish you lots of happiness and fun with your 5th grandchild.

Best regards

I do ultrasound, including 3d for a living). I do a lot of research using 3d ultrasound.

Congratulations, Jayme! Your images are always an inspiration!

Thanks Yinka. Ultrasound is so interesting. I remember the first one I ever saw, I couldn't make out a thing. After viewing a few, I now find them totally amazing Especially 3D. WOW!
